What is Sinusitis?
Sinusitis is a swelling of the inner lining of the sinuses, the area between the bones in the face where air passes and where mucus drains into the nose.
What causes Sinusitis?
There are many causes of sinusitis, but the most common include but are not limited to: virus, bacteria, fungus, excessive nose blowing, medications, allergies, asthma, narrow sinuses, and dehydration.
How is Sinusitis treated?
The most common medical methods for treating sinusitis are antibiotics, antihistamines, over-the-counter nasal sprays, saline or steroid nasal sprays, or allergy shots.
