What is Acute Flu
Acute flu, sometimes known as acute respiratory infection (ARI) or Influenza-like illness (ILI) is a medical diagnosis with a set of common symptoms, such as high temperatures, chills, coughing, aching, with possible nausea, sneezing, mucus production, and fatigue. Acute influenza typically lasts between 1 and 4 days. Most often, the cause of these symptoms are by cytokines released by immune system activation and are thus relatively non-specific.

How is Acute Flu Treated?
Preventative treatment for acute flu comes in the form of flu shots, which can be administered in various common locations. In serious cases, in which the patient has trouble breathing or cannot stop vomiting, fluids may need to be intravenously given to the sufferer. Unfortunately, nothing can ease the flu except for time.
