What is a Vaccine?
A vaccine is a substance used to stimulate the production of antibodies and provide immunity against one or several diseases. Vaccines are usually prepared from the causative agent of a disease, its products, or a synthetic substitute and act as a guard against the disease. There are many available vaccines including but not limited to: influenza, measles, mumps, polio, smallpox, rabies, tuberculosis, etc.
