What are common Thyroid Conditions?
The thyroid gland, located in the front part of the neck below the Adam’s apple, which regulates metabolism, can cause problems when it produces too much (known as hyperthyroidism) or too little (hypothyroidism) of thyroid hormones. There are also problems such as thyroid cancer, autoimmune thyroid disease, Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, nodules, Graves’ disease, thyroiditis, and goiter.
What causes Thyroid Conditions?
Defects in regulatory pathways of thyroid hormones, which maintains healthy levels of the hormones in the blood. Poor nutrition, stress, genetics, pregnancy, and menopause are common causes of thyroid problems.
How are Thyroid Conditions treated?
Depending on the issue, thyroid hormones can either be added or removed, or antibotics can be introduced if the cause is autoimmune.
