Rhinitis, more often called a runny nose, is the medical term which describes irritation and inflammation of some internal areas of the nose. Symptoms include mucus and stuffy nose.

There are many causes of rhinitis, but the most common include: allergies, foods, hormones, infections, irritants, and medications.
How is Rhinitis treated?
Often, rhinitis can be treated with simple remedies and lifestyle changes, such as nasal irrigation and increased hydration, as well as over-the-counter or prescription medications. In rare cases, stronger treatment is required.
