What is Fatigue?
Simply put, fatigue is a lack of energy and motivation. Drowsiness and apathy can be symptoms of fatigue. Fatigue can be a normal and important response to physical exertion, emotional stress, boredom, or lack of sleep. However, it can also be a nonspecific sign of a psychological or physical disorder. A more serious disorder is known as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS).
What causes Fatigue?
Fatigue can be a result of several primary medical causes. These include anemia, infections, depression, cancer, or problems with one’s metabolic rate.
How is Fatigue treated?
The best method of controlling fatigue is to maintain a healthy life. More serious conditions can be treated with medication.
