What are Skin Conditions?
There are several skin conditions, such as psoriasis, perioral dermatitis, rashes, eczema, cellulitis, fungal infections, blisters, skin cysts, pruritus (itchy skin), warts, Molluscum Contagiosum, hives, alopecia, vitiligo, skin color changes, and varicose veins, to name a few. Most of these skin conditions are issues with itchy, red, or flaky skin, or lumps and bumps.
What causes Skin Conditions?
Just as there are many types of skin conditions, there are many causes as well. Genetic factors, irritants, allergies, bacteria, viruses, change in melanin, poor circulation, and insect bites are common causes.
How are Skin Conditions treated?
Skin conditions are often treated with topical steroid medications, over-the-counter creams and ointments, UV light therapy, and in some cases, surgery.
